This is a list of some of the frequently asked questions that come up. If you have a question that is not listed below, feel free to use the 'contact us' form to send us an email. We will do our best to reply to you as quickly as possible. Also if you have any requests please let us know. Some things we can't find but we will do our best to track down what we can.

  •  HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU ARE STILL IN BUSINESS?
    As long as this site is up and running we are still here. We do not update the site everyday, we add new series to the site when we have them finished and post the new updated date on the homepage (this can be anywhere from once a week to once a month depending on our schedules). If you are on the mailing list you will be notified when new series are added. If and when we choose to shut down we will notify the customers on the mailing list and take the site down. We will not simply abandon the site as we pay monthly hosting fees.

 

  •  THE DATE ON THE SERIES PAGE IS FROM OVER A YEAR AGO?
    That is the date the page/series was added to the site. An individual series page will not be updated unless something in the set is changed. The home page will show when the site was last updated.

 

  •  HOW DO I KNOW IF A SERIES IS STILL AVAILABLE?
    As long as a series is listed on the site it is available for purchase. There is no need to ask if it can still be purchased. If we decided to no longer offer a certain series it will simply be removed from the site.

 

  •  DO YOU ACCEPTS PAYMENTS BY MAIL OR OVER THE PHONE?
    NO. All orders and payments must be made through the online shopping cart.

 

  •  HOW SECURE IS YOUR PAYMENT FORM?
    Payments are processed through a secure SSL High-grade 256 Bit Encryption offsite shopping cart. Once the Credit/debit card has been processed the CC info is deleted. We do not store any CC info on the site or on the shopping cart. You can select to have the shopping cart remember your shipping info, but we do not allow it to store any CC info.

 

  •  HOW LONG AFTER I SUBMIT PAYMENT DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?
    We try to ship out orders within 2-3 days or receiving payment. Sometimes we can get it out the next day, but normally it will be 2-3 days. For U.S. buyers (within the lower 48 states) priority mail takes 2-3 days. For buyers outside the U.S. Priority International Mail takes 6-10 days. For buyers in Alaska, Hawaii & at Military APO/AE's it will probably take an additional 3-5 days to reach you.

 

  •  DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
    Yes. We ship worldwide. Packages within the U.S (including all U.S. APO/AE addresses, Alaska & Hawaii) will be shipped by priority mail. Unless it is a large package, then it will be shipped by media mail or parcel post. All packages going outside the U.S. will be shipped by Priority Mail International or 1st class mail international. We do not ship by UPS or FEDEX.

 

  •  WHAT IS THE COST OF SHIPPING?

  • The cost of shipping within the U.S.A. is $7.50 (priority mail w/tracking). Shipping to Canada is $25.00 (priority mail w/tracking). International shipping is $35.00 (priority mail w/tracking). The shipping charge is per order not per set. There is a drop down box within the shopping cart to select the shipping amount for your order.

 

  •  WILL YOU ACCEPT A MONEY ORDER?

  • No.

 

  •  DO YOU SUPPLY CASES FOR THE SETS?

  • No we do not. All discs are shipped in individual paper cd sleeves to prevent scratching. This keeps the overall cost down (price of cases and extra cost of shipping).

 

  •  DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE THE ENTIRE SET?

  • No you do not. We can sell individual seasons or individual discs if the entire set is not needed. Simply contact us with the series and season(s) or number of discs you want to purchase and we will quote you a price.

 

  •  HOW DO I KNOW IF THE DVD'S WILL PLAY ON MY DVD PLAYER?

  • You will have to either find the manual or research your player on the internet to see if it accepts dvdr discs. All dvdr's are and region free so they will play in any country as long as the player accepts the format. The site
    www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers is a good place to start when trying to find out if your player will recognize DVDR's. We will not give a refund if a buyer receives the discs and finds they don't play in their dvd player. It is up to the buyer to research their system to make sure it accepts the format. It is very easy to google the name and model number to see what formats it will play.

 

  •  WHAT FORMAT ARE THE DVDS IN?

  • All of our sets are in NTSC format. Since we are based in the U.S. that is the format shown here.

 

  •  WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF A SERIES?

  • At the bottom of each individual series page you will see the number of discs, the quality rating, price and any extra info regarding the source for the series. Please remember that quality is subjective and can vary based on the size of the screen you are watching the shows on. We use a 27' wide screen tv to test our sets and decide on a quality rating.

 

  •  CAN I GET THE SERIES ON VCD OR VHS INSTEAD?

  • No. We only offer the series on DVDR.

 

  •  WHAT IS A DVDR?

  • Short for DVD-Recordable, a recordable DVD format disc similar to CD-R. A DVDR can only record data once and then the data becomes permanent on the disc. The disc can not be recorded onto a second time.

 

  •  WHAT IF I GET THE DISCS AND FIND OUT THAT THEY WILL NOT PLAY ON MY DVD PLAYER?

  • All dvd-/+r's are viewable on any computer that has a dvd-rom drive. You simply need a video player such as video lan client, windvd, powerdvd or windows media player to view the discs. We make sure to put on the site that you need to research your dvd player before hand if you are unsure if it will support the discs before you make any purchases. We are not responsible for verifying if you player will support the discs, if you can't view them on your dvd player you can still view them on your computer.

 

 

  •  DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?

  • No. All sales are final. There are no returns or refunds. We have had issues in the past were individuals purchased from us and then complained to get a refund, only to turn around and start selling the set as their own on another site. Due to the ease of copying we do not offer refunds period.

    There are no refunds due to buyers assuming rather than asking questions first. So please ask all questions prior to making your purchase, if you are unsure of what you are purchasing.


    There are no refunds if a buyer 'changes their mind' and decides they no longer want the order after payment has been submitted. If you are going to purchase, make sure it is what you want. We start putting the sets together almost immediately and will not eat the cost of a set because someone changed there mind a few hours or days after the order has been placed and started.


    There are no refunds is a buyer fails to verify their shipping info. If an order was shipped and successfully delivered to the address provided during checkout we have completed the sale. We ship to whatever address is supplied during checkout, it is the buyers responsibility to make sure that information is correct. We will fix an order if the error is on our end. But we will not refund an order or ship out free replacements, or exchange a set if the error is on the buyers end.
    We will not be held accountable for a buyers error, so please verify all info before submitting your order.

 

  •  WHAT IF I GET A DEFECTIVE DISC?

  • We try to verify every disc before shipping to make sure there are no scratches or fingerprints on them. But every once in a while one will slip by. We give all buyers a 2 week window from the time they receive the discs to verify that they are all working properly. If during that time you find one that is not working properly, you simply need to let us know and a new one will be sent out. If it is only 1-2 discs (depending on the amount of discs sent out) that has problems they will just be replaced. If it is anymore than that, the defective discs will have to be returned before new ones are sent out.

 

  •  I PURCHASED A SERIES OFF OF A DIFFERENT SITE, IT HAS THIS SITE'S URL IN THE MENU AND NEED REPLACEMENTS?

  • If your purchase did not originate on www.dvdrshoppe.com then you did not purchase from us and we will not supply you with free replacements for an order we are not responsible for. As stated on the home page there are several individuals that have purchased series from us, only to start selling copies of them on different website and auction sites. We do keep track of all of our customers and know exactly who did and did not purchase from us. You will need to contact the site/individual you purchased from. We will sell individual discs, but free replacements are only for our buyers that request them within 2 weeks of receiving their order..
